Challenge Island is a STEAM enrichment program where smart and curious kids work together in teams to solve fun, hands-on “challenges” which teach them about STEAM fundamentals, plus important success skills like creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and much more. Our 3-hour/5-day camp programs this year include Slimetopia 3: Slime Chefs on Deck (new around-the-world slimes every day), Island Doll (new businesses, beaches, skiing and more), Pets Palooza (all things pet-related), and STEAM-Warts Academy of Wizards, Spells and Potions. We are offering morning and afternoon camps in Birmingham, Brandon, Canton, Clarkston, Fenton, Hartland, Rochester, South Lyon and Troy!

Challenge Island workshops are taught by experienced STEAM professionals in a fun and positive environment, to help kids grow their confidence in STEAM topics and in working with others. Our approach to STEAM is a bit different, in that we use everyday materials to build our challenges (roller coasters, towers, bridges, pinball machines, etc.), so that kids get a break from "screens" and can quickly get started on being creative and creating something exciting. For all our workshops, we come to you and we bring all the materials needed to run the workshop, so all you need to provide in most cases is a space (and tables & chairs) for the students to work at. Workshops can be customized based on curriculum standards and/or topic requests, and can be set up for any size group, from as small as 10 to over 100.
